Sitting here listening to music being streamed via Pandora. What a great time it is to be around and see the advantages of technology. With sites like Pandora it is easy to listen to a style of music or find other styles that may not have been obvious at first. Social media and music streaming sites makes it easy to find and hear new and old artists that main stream radio stations didn’t always play. Variety is the spice of life and social media makes it so much easier to find it.
Social media sites also have the potential to make it easier for upstart artist to get their music heard. With relatively little money and equipment demo “tapes” and videos can be put together and easily shared. There is a tremendous amount of talent out there in the real world, and the net and social media makes it possible for them to express themselves, and us to find them.
I wonder if this era will become known as the golden age of music. The talent is there and now the means to show that talent is as well.
