Once upon a time (three days ago), I was lured in by the tagline, Blogging deadline coming up? Use these free blog post templates to create posts, fast.
 
Perfect timing because these six blogs are still due this Thursday! Hence, this is the primer I’m creating for myself and you, about Marketing Blogging for Beginners.
Bonus Tip:  I can write all six posts by Thursday, upload them to the preferred platform, WordPress, and then set a “timer” for the six posts to be released on set days and times.
Pretty nifty.

GOALS:
+ Break down a process into a series of steps (like these templates for blogging)
+ We all want to learn how to get stuff done.
+ Make the process visual with images or video, for even greater success.
+ Teach how to do something bigger, better, faster, cheaper, and awesomer.
TIPS & TRICKS:
+ High-quality how-to posts are extremely helpful
+ Approached like writing a user manual, like for IKEA furniture assembly manuals, only much better.
+ A reader should be able to execute on the subject of the post with no confusion.

2 The Curated Collection Blog Post Template

+ Aim for consistency. Entries should each be about the same length and tone.  
+ Make sure order flows

4 The Newsjacking Blog Post Template

GOALS:
+ Newsjacking refers to using a news story for your sales and marketing success. The term was popularized due to David Meerman Scott’s book Newsjacking: How to Inject Your Ideas into a Breaking News Story and Generate Tons of Media Coverage.
+ it affects your key audience, write about it.
+ Quick newsjacks are all about timing – being the first (or as close to first as possible) to report on a news item. These are typically very short, and merely attempt to capitalize on immediacy.
TIPS & TRICKS:
+ There are two basic types of newsjacks: quick newsjacks, and in-depth newsjacks.
+ It’s why HubSpot writes blog posts when Google makes an algorithm update, for example.

+ Bonus Step: Embed Your SlideShare Presentation
Go to SlideShare where your presentation is uploaded, click on “Embed,” copy the embed code, and paste it into your blogging platform where it naturally flows into the post copy. Ideally you want your SlideShare to appear above the fold.
