Deciding On A Social Media Audience

This year has been full of many surprises as well as a few bumps in the road. Through it all, learning about social media and how it interacts with people knowingly or unknowingly, has proven to be the focal point of the class.

What I anticipated on was learning a lot about the different sites and what businesses use to help build their brand. Instead, I learned that social media in the 21st century has gained more momentum than any other media source.
In addition, most businesses use social media to build their consumers and create a dialogue in order to let them know what the company is doing, how the funds are being used, what demographics are involved and stakeholder information.

This class has given me the insight on what companies need to develop on social media, what demographics to target, and the content needed.

Social media touches the lives of so many people directly or indirectly. To put social media in a box would be an injustice. I can definitely say that social media 101 was the greatest way of understanding what public relations is all about and what needs to be done to reach the masses. Thanks Mel-on-ie. @GrahmsJ
