How to Engage your Audience-BSB

What makes me want to engage with a company or organization? It could be the product, service, culture, environment, mission, past projects etc. It is important that a company or organization informs me of its culture, goals, and of the organization’s or company’s past so that as a consumeDSC02157r I can evaluate the organization’s or company’s growth and commitment.

A great example of engaging the audience is the Crazy Horse Memorial! Crazy Horse Memorial is based solely off crowdsourcing. How do you get the crowd to come to you? The memorial consists of museum of Indian artifacts and the story of the beginning of the memorial, restaurant, and gift shop. However, you don’t see the signs all the way to South Dakota like you do for Wall Drug or Mt. Rushmore. I have only recently learned about this amazing monument being built to commemorate the Indian tribes and the land and culture of those Indian Tribes. From admission to every other dollar spent is used to fund Crazy Horse Memorial that was started in 1948.  But as interest grows so will the monument.

When you engage your audience the word spreads! You must create interest in the product or service and mission. Interest is the reason Crazy Horse Memorial exist.   Interest is also the reason it has come this far. I have seen the future of the Crazy Horse Memorial and it is beautiful. However there needs to be more interest to finish this dream.

  1. Nice work, BSB. I like the use of the photo to better bring home the point of how awesome in scale this monument is. I also like how you brought in the idea crowdfunding and applied it here. -PE

  2. Thanks Paige! You inspire me!
