The Grand Social Media Experiment. We learn by doing.

Learning social media is hard!

I’ve learned about leetspeak, lurking, and trolling, but I’ve also learned about how I’m not tying my posts, tweets, and blogs into a social media frame. I have to say this exercise is difficult for me. It f-ing sucks, and I feel discouraged, defeated, and seriously want to cry. I was so stressed last night I couldn’t fall asleep, and when I did drift into unconsciousness at 4:45am I dreamt about social media. So how does this blog relate to the whole social media network and how does my experience feeling defeated and wanting to run screaming from class tie into social media? Easy, learning social media is hard! – bb

We're a class learning about the ins and outs of social media. We learn by doing.

  1. You are not alone bb in this distress. It is surely out of reach at present for me, too. We are using social media, to describe and promote social media. I think I have gotten near to the goal by using it to promote an event or share information, but I’m not making the additional connection or explicit articulation as to what my interest in an event or subject has to do with social media. Hopefully we gain some insights in the next couple of days. I don’t know why I’m still talking..dlh

    • You already know your classmates, just use social media like your texting someone you know or have just meet. Keep your classmates up to date with what’s going on in the world and give us your opion (thoughts)about the relavency of the event. This will allow your classmates the opportunity to tell you what they think about the event and what it means to them. I feel this meaningful dialog will allow both individuals to lean and grow in a larger understanding of the issue. Please give this a try and tell me what you think?
